Cahier d'étude N.1

The Azzedine Alaïa Foundation is pleased to invite you to the presentation of the book: " Cahier d’étude N.1, The couture collection 2003 ". This book tells the story of the collection presented on Rue de la Verrerie on January 23, 2003 after years of silence. This deliberate absence became a long pause during which: "... Azzedine entered into what would ultimately be described as a period of creative asceticism. However this deliberate withdrawal from the rhythm of fashion was clearly not a retreat but a recalibration..." Carla Sozzani.

The conversation will be preceded by a conversation between Laurence Benaïm, journalist and author, Carla Sozzani, President of the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation, Erdal Pinarci, director of the tailoring atelier, Jean-Noël de Soye, photographer and gallerist, Olivier Saillard, director of the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation and moderated by philosopher Emanuele Coccia.
