Grace Before Jones: Camera, Disco, Studio explores the life, work and collaborations of Grace Jones. The exhibition brings together over 100 works from some thirty artists, presenting a a multifaceted portrait through works of art, archive documents, films, fashion, design and music.

One section of the exhibition entitled «Podiums» presents Grace Jones as a fashion icon, and explores her collaborations with various couturiers. The section includes two dresses by Azzedine Alaïa, who chose her as a muse during the 1980’s. Grace Jones is an unwavering fan and great friend of the couturier, and he created her costumes for her role as May Day in the 1985 James Bond film «A View to a Kill».
