Couturier of greek nationality, born in Alexandria, Jean Dessès opened his couture house in 1937. Dessès is known for his draping, his cocktail and evening dresses in fluid fabrics and muted colors.

    Black organza, criss-cross neckline over the bust, cut-out back in a point to the waist highlighted by a belt, full skirt decorated with superimposed petals on a horsehair petticoat, inner bustier with boning.
