In 1996, the first edition of the biennial "Time and Fashion" was held in Florence. Its aim was to pair a fashion designer with a visual artist in order to describe the reciprocal influences of the world of fashion with the plastic arts, design, architecture, cinema, photography, customs and history by exhibiting some forty artists and as many designers from all over the world.
Among these artists and designers, Azzedine Alaïa, who has already been honoured at Palazzo Corsini with a monograph, is exhibiting one of his creations with paintings by his friend Julian Schnabel as a background.
