Azzedine Alaïa organised an event in his art gallery to celebrate the release of the superb monograph by Phaidon dedicated to Ettore Sottsass, founder and member of Memphis. Orchestrated by Ernest Mourmans, the choice of furniture shows the originality of a designer inspired by multiple ethnic influences and guided by a pronounced taste for bold colour combinations.
In tune with the times, Sottsass has also created practical furniture with modular elements, a joyful immersion in 20th century design.
