Created in collaboration with The New School Parsons Paris, the book is the first book of a series of publications investigating the politics of heritage through the privileged perspective of the historical archives of the Foundation Azzedine Alaïa. The book focuses on the seminal fashion auction Univers de Paul Poiret et Denise Poiret (2005) on the wardrobe of Denise Poiret.  Gathering essays, interviews with academics, curators and family members alongside unique visual and written documentation of the archive at Foundation Azzedine Alaïa, the book works as a research tool disclosing unique documents and sources in the making of Poiret heritage.
