It was at the cinema that Azzedine Alaïa discovered Arletty in Marcel Carné's film "Hôtel du Nord ". He was immediately seduced by her cheeky charm and her inimitable tone of voice. Shortly afterwards, Frédéric Somigli, a hairdresser friend, told him that the actress was one of his clients. It was thanks to him that they met in 1960 during the play L'Étouffe-chrétien by Félicien Marceau.

Arletty and Azzedine Alaïa had a deep friendship, based on mutual respect and admiration. Seduced by her allure, her innate elegance, he was often inspired by her and her clothes for his own creations.

The talk looks back on their meeting, their friendship and their atypical journey.
