The Saitama Museum of Modern Art in Japan hosted the "Genio y Figura" exhibition on the influence of Spanish culture on fashion.

The exhibition was a superb display of costumes, accessories, paintings, ceramics and photographs and "a journey through history to discover and recreate the traces that "l’espagnol" left in one of the most fascinating aspects of life culture: "la Moda."

The "style gitan" has been the subject of the fascination of designers throughout the last century and has inspired Azzedine Alaïa to create a Flamenco dress which admirably illustrates the designer’s own creative temperament and his skill in working with leather.
